Susan has over 30 years’ experience in retained executive search and career advising. A seasoned strategic search professional with experience in a variety of industries.  Susan’s search practice has included client relationships with publicly held companies as well as privately held, PE owned, start-ups and nonprofit organizations in multiple industries and functional areas. 

Earlier in her career, Susan developed and implemented creative and innovative staffing strategies to attract and retain talented individuals to Influence, LLC.  As VP, Strategic Staffing for this $8 million e-commerce/internet solutions company, Susan laid the strategic staffing groundwork for Influence’s St. Louis headquarters as well as satellite offices in Kansas City and Ann Arbor. 

Before joining Influence, Susan spent six years at Grant Cooper & Associates, a retained executive search firm headquartered in St. Louis, where she was responsible for search process and methodology, business development, strategic search planning and client management.  While her client assignments covered a wide range of functional areas, she specialized in financial services, focusing on senior level management and executive positions.

Prior to her experience at Grant Cooper & Associates, Susan worked in the banking industry for 15 years, first in Houston and then in St. Louis in a variety of positions of increasing responsibility in the areas of cash management, sales and marketing and corporate lending.

A native St. Louisan, Susan has a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from the University of Texas in Austin.
